Stellar Cast Attracts Record Crowds at Yom Masorti 2013

Over 250 people attended Yom Masorti 2013 held at New North London Synagogue on Sunday 10 February, making it by far and away the most successful event in its history.

The stellar line-up of speakers included: His Excellency, Daniel Taub, Israeli Ambassador to the UK, Senior Masorti Rabbi, Jonathan Wittenberg, Mike Whine MBE, Government and International Affairs Director at the Community Security Trust, Sir Bernard Eder, High Court Judge, in conversation with celebrated legal broadcaster and journalist, Joshua Rozenberg, Adam Ognall, Chief Executive of the New Israel Fund - and many more besides.

Commenting on the day, Masorti Chief Executive, Matt Plen said: "I think the overwhelming number of people here today from across the Masorti family - and beyond, combined with a packed programme featuring top quality speakers, reflects how Masorti is both growing and flourishing as a major force in the wider Jewish community.

"It was a real honour to welcome His Excellency, Daniel Taub, the Israeli Ambassador, and I would like to thank him for giving his time to us today and offering some unique insights into Israel's future within a fast-changing regional landscape. I would also wish to thank all the other amazing speakers who informed and entertained, everybody who attended and those who helped make this a day to remember."
