IAAPA 2012

Not surprisingly, the IAAPA tradeshow, held this year in Orlando, USA, was a highly successful event. This international show of parks and attractions, the largest in the industry, attracted a large number of leisure professionals and a great influx of visitors. An incredible range of new leisure products provided the backdrop for a series of successful meetings. We were delighted to catch-up with our industry colleagues and are very much looking forward to IAAPA 2013.

SETT 2012

feria sett

After the IAAPA show, we moved quickly to Montpellier, the city in which the 34th edition of the Tourism Equipment and Techniques show (Salon Européen des Equipements et Techniques du Tourisme) was held; an event which we did not miss.

In the show we were able to appreciate the excellent times that the camping sector is experiencing in France. This success is the result of investing in the improvement of facilities and offering clients a greater quality service each year.

Nowadays, French campsites offer great quality outdoors accommodation with entertainment and fun for all the family, with aquatic leisure being one of the areas on which much of the entertainment offer is focused. Anyone who has followed our newsletters will have noticed our growing presence in French campsites and our latest works that are comparable to waterparks.

It has been this evolution of the sector and our increasing participation in the campsite sector, which has encouraged us to participate in the Show and we have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by the superb reception that our products and works had.

We would like to thank our clients for dropping by the stand to see us and discuss the new projects that they have in mind and also thank the new contacts for the interest shown towards our company, products and work, which will undoubtedly become new projects in coming seasons.

To demonstrate the growing presence of Amusement Logic in France, we are pleased to mention that the work we are carrying out at the campsites Le Farret and Les Flamants Roses, is progressing at a great pace, with our teams working so that the new aquatic areas are ready for next season.

Both campsites belong to the Yelloh Village chain, which groups “5-star” campsites.

In Le Farret campsite we are developing a new aquatic area, in a Balinese setting, which includes an area for adults with balneotherapy elements and a children’s area.

At Les Flamants Roses campsite we are building an aquatic space for children, which can be covered with a spectacular dome, with theming based on the tropical Seychelles islands.

We will give more detailed information on both projects as construction progresses.

New product - Aqua Runner

Walk or run on the water inside a large-diameter transparent cylinder, which floats and moves forward thanks to the two lateral rings, designed with smooth-lined fins to optimise advancing on water without waves. Designed as an attraction for both adult and children’s pools, it can also be used in new sports or relaxation concepts in natural aquatic environments such as lakes and reservoirs. The transparent ring which is stepped upon, causes the continual advance that allows both an underwater view as well as a frontal view throughout the journey.

Turns are made by stepping diagonally on the sides of either of the two wheel-floats, creating a controlled imbalance similar to that of a catamaran when it makes the same manoeuvre. Fun and exercise guaranteed, whilst “walking” on the water.
