NOVEMBER 2013 HERO OF THE MONTH

HERO of The Lightness Foundation

Kerry Picken has been working like a crazy tireless Organizer of Everything for the Lightness Foundation, and then for the 1st Lightness Tournament. She has been exchanging 10-20 emails daily. She has been the hub of the huge wheel that has been set in motion to create this Lightness Foundation and Tournament. She synchronized all the moving parts to coordinate with each other like a Swiss clock to accomplish a kick off this first year on time!

In addition, at the Tournament, she was the scribe for our judge, Manuel Trigo. She tirelessly wrote down his comments on the tests for the rider; which allowed him to stay focused on the horse and rider in the arena.

Kerry has amazed us by her extreme meticulous EFFICIENCY and never forgets anything! She is competent and can do what ever is required! Without this Heroine, The Lightness Foundation would not have had such a strong beginning!!!

When we asked her why she was willing to gift us so much of her time and talents?
She replied, “Riding in lightness puts all of the aspects of horsemanship that I am passionate about together. When I was told about the concept and goals of the Lightness Foundation and tournament, I wanted to do what I could to help make it a reality. “
