With the Stockholm Furniture Week just ahead, starting next week, we'd like to introduce you to a selection of new works which will be on show.
At Greenhouse we'll exhibit the expanded Tata family: chaise longue, daybed and sofa.
The sofa series Tata is the outcome of a research project initiated by Studio Greiling.
Katrin visited Indonesia twice during a period of three years, starting several collaborations with local craftsmen. The project is based on her earlier experiences of living abroad, encountering a different civilization as an outsider and learning from its habits and expressions. Tata developed out of this approach and has since become independent as the launch of a new furniture production.
The project had received generous supports both from The Swedish Arts and Grants Committee as well as from Sida and The Swedish Arts Council.
During this exhibition we'll launch as well our first book, the Tata Look Book!
It is a beautiful designed compendium by the talented graphic design office Gabriel & Andrejs about Katrin's project in Indonesia, working on the sofa series Tata. This printed matter combines for the first time both Katrin’s work as furniture designer and photographer.
The book includes a conversation between Susanne Helgeson, journalist and author, specializing in design and Katrin Greiling. Click here to read our conversation in full length.
Another exhibitor at the Stockholm Furniture Fair you should watch is Berga. This Swedish outdoor furniture producer extended their collection this year and is showing new pieces of both established and up and coming designers.
Together with graphic design office Parasto Backman Inc. we created their new visual identity.
