Dear TJ Classmates,

Hi! We are your class captains, Beth Finn and Ian Caldwell. We want to help you reconnect with our class, alumni and TJ students and activities. To strengthen our alumni community, we need you to complete 3 easy steps that should only take 10-15 minutes total.

To reconnect TJ’s 10,000 alumni, 50 class captains have volunteered to represent every TJ class: from the senior experience classes (1986-88), to the first class of 1989, to our most TJ recent graduates of 2012. At the class captain kickoff meeting, 30 enthusiastic alumni from 1988 to 2012 shared favorite teachers, 8th period activities, and TJ memories. We are excited about reconnecting alumni. The TJHSST Alumni Association and the TJ Partnership Fund are working together to launch this class captains initiative to build a university-style alumni community.

Class captains from each class (including ours – the best TJ class ever!) will encourage alumni to update their profile, send and receive alumni news, learn about alumni and TJ activities, recognize alumni, faculty and students for achievements, give informal mentorship to students or alumni, and generally support TJ. You can participate in several activities or simply update your profile to receive TJ and alumni news.

We need each of you to follow three steps to help connect our TJ community:
1) Update your profile at http://www.tjhsstalumni.org/directory/login.aspx
-Login with username and password

-Enter profile info (especially email address, physical address and employer)

As TJ’s best class, we want our class to be #1 in reconnecting: please, take a few minutes to do these three simple things.

In the spirit of friendly competition, at Alumni Day in October there will be class awards (gold, silver and bronze) for three “summer events”: tjhsstalumni.org profile updates rate, Facebook group membership rate, and LinkedIn membership rate. There will be three class categories: 1986-1994, 1995-2003, and 2004-2012.

Let the TJ class games begin! Please help reconnect with TJ by doing these three steps and feel free to email/post/tweet your classmates to do so.
