We are pleased to announce the start to year three of THE FENCE, our annual summer-long, outdoor photographic exhibition, which invites photographers from around the world to explore and define the meaning of community across cultural boundaries and geographical lines. This year, THE FENCE expands to one additional city, inhabiting three cities total -- Brooklyn, Boston and Atlanta.
First up is THE FENCE in Boston at the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway, which will be unveiled alongside the launch of the Flash Forward Festival this Thursday, May 1. The photographers hail from nearby New England to Argentina and Australia and their images depict diverse communities from the inhabitants of a Japanese fishing town hard hit by the 2011 tsunami to same sex families across America to a retiree cheerleading troupe in Arizona. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share their photography with you.
