Greetings!

The surgery in October was to keep me down about two weeks, only it turned out to be a more extensive surgery and it's had me down five weeks and counting. Obviously my best laid plans went kaput! But I am mending and I'm doing much better now, and for that and so much more, I am grateful. Hard time of the year to be less than a hundred percent, though, and that's just a fact.

I've watched more TV series and movies than is likely legal in 48 states. I couldn't focus to read much less write--even email has been a challenge. That's getting in the rearview mirror now and I'm so happy about that.

So, of course, I got a summons for jury duty. (Can you hear me whining?)

Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for your kind notes and cards and flowers. You have no idea how much they brightened gloomy days. I've always struggled with being still and just doing nothing. It's not my nature. Anyway, I've been thoroughly schooled in it now and recognize it's an art. One I hope doesn't revisit me in the near future!

While there's a delay on the new series release, I do have a little book news to share. I teamed up with four other authors and we put together a collection of five books that all have some kind of Christmas element in them. Now these are general fiction stories (some are thrillers, some are comedy, one is futuristic); some are clean reads and some are not. These aren't traditional Christmas stories but about heroes who touch our hearts and experience something about Christmas in the story events. We released the collection for $6.99 but starting Black Friday it'll be $0.99 cents for a limited time. Here's a flyer we did on it:
