There aren’t many people who can make a career out of dreaming, but International DJ and underground darling Lee Burridge has done just that. Some of these dreams have included making an impact on one individual market, as he did during his 365 initiative, moving to one city and pushing his sound and concept through underground events, or dreams of melding genres as he has with long time booth partner under the Tyrant moniker, Craig Richards. Most recently, via a new collaboration with Amsterdam native Matthew Dekay, they have taken all day to dream, launching a concept party that transcends markets and hangs it’s hat on atmosphere and the importance of the attendees. Bolstering this ideal, a label was born to provide an outlet for any and all musical inspiration born from this mindset which shares its name with the concept parties: All Day I Dream. On Friday, June 22nd, Spybar and alias. invite you to come share a dream or two as they welcome Lee back to Chicago. Also on the bill is former Chicago resident Mike Khoury. No stranger to sharing the booth with Lee, as he has in Romania, Mexico and here in the States, this organic pairing allows for sounds to cross and compliment simultaneously, as the each push to challenge themselves as well as the dance floor. On Tuesday, July 3rd, after the bombs have stopped going off in the sky, alias., VOLATL and Swing Shift have schemed to push the envelope of the sonic landscape of Chicago, intertwining their musical tastes into one bill as they present Detroit legend Stacey Pullen and the Chicago debut of International phenom Burnski. As if that weren’t enough, this will all occur under the roof of a nightclub that houses three different rooms that will be hosting the cream of the crop when it comes to local Chicago DJ talent.
