ElkY amongst latest confirmations for HK $1 Million GDAM event, now at 70 players

MACAU, CHINA – May 29, 2013 – As the ‘GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions’ (GDAM) tournament draws near, the number of pre-registered players continues to soar.

The organizers, Guangdong Group (Macau) and PokerStars, today announced that 70 players are confirmed to play the HK $1 Million (US $130k) buy-in GDAM Main Event.

The super high roller tournament also allows for two rebuys and takes place next week from June 5-7 at the 'PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams' poker room in Macau.

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier -- one of the most accomplished High Roller tournament players in the world -- has confirmed his attendance. ElkY joins fellow Team PokerStars members Isaac Haxton, Celina Lin, and 2010 World Champion Jonathan Duhamel who were amongst the first notables to confirm last week.

"The Guangdong Group were confident that the GDAM tourney could be the first US $100,000 high rollers event to break the 100-player mark and we're well on pace to achieve that." said Danny McDonagh, PokerStars Director of Live Poker Operations in the Asia Pacific.

Other notables recently added include Shaun Deeb, Mike McDonald, David Steicke, Jeff Rossiter, and Max Altergott -- who recently won the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller event in Monte Carlo.

Sorel Mizzi has joined an interest list that already includes Brian Hastings, Dan Smith and Nam Le.
