BTS Fest '14, a sneak peak into our programming

BTS will be showcasing new work by Nejla Yatkin, the multiple award-winning Turkish-German choreographer who possesses a provocative voice, "dramatic clarity and passion" (New York Times). Nejla will be sharing with NYC audiences her latest work currently in development.

"Life is not so much a narrative
with a beginning and a middle and an end
as it is a constellation of vivid moments"
Chuck Mee's Matisse's Self Portrait

BTS presents the world premiere of Hotel Mediterranee, a play based on Chuck Mee's Matisse's Self Portrait, by Greek director Nantia Foskolou. Her directing has been praised as innovative and comedic, inspiring gratifying performances from her actors.

As part of the 4x4:NYC meets the Med, our new program showcasing contemporary Mediterranean dramatists, we are proud to announce the participation of world-renowned Spanish playwright, Esteve Soler. We will be presenting his acclaimed trilogy Against Progress/Against Democracy/Against Love in a full day of readings, talk backs and panels. Hailed as a writer who initiates horror, absurdity, and politically-charged gut reactions in his audiences, Soler's work has been translated into over 9 languages in over 10 countries. His presence at BTS is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Institut Ramon Llull.
