An entire gallery is installed with Ros Bandt’s glass sound sculptures and playable instruments, videos of jellyfish and a scientific experimental bath where sounds from over and underwater are captured and spread throughout the room.
For three months she has been artist in residence at Library Artspace Gallery in North Fitzroy composing new surround sound works creating a unique multi-sensory experience. It’s at once a meditative room of contemplation, a heightened listening space and a room to dream. It has come alive through glass music performed by the artist every Wednesday in January.
