It was very inspiring to see the huge variety of innovative thinking around the ethical business sector a true testament of the great work that business is doing to contribute to the wellbeing of society and environment.

Announcing the Ethical Enterprise Conference 2014 “The Attitude of your business”
Business with purpose is business of the future. The Ethical Enterprise Conference brings together leaders within social enterprise in the aim of not only igniting your passion for ethical enterprise, but helping you pave the way to becoming both a conscious and profitable business.
High profile speakers including Paul Smith - Australian Ethical Investment and Jesper Lowgren Author of Extraordinary Business Transformation will reveal successful business techniques involved with running a business with a purpose. Katy Barfield - Spade and Barrow and Rebecca Scott from STREAT will share their journey of turning their social enterprise from dreams to reality and brand specialists The Bravery, EKM and Brandism shed some light on growth and communications strategies.
The schedule has been developed around the vision “The Attitude of your business” and offers an opportunity to learn and network with individuals who have successfully identified a strong ethical business purpose and transformed it into a career through presentations, workshops and an Awards reception.

Transitions Film Festival presents "Who Cares" at Fair@Square 2014
Who Cares is a powerful film about the growing social entrepreneur movement that is taking off across the planet. The Transitions Film Festival is Australia's largest sustainability film festival, dedicated to showcasing inspirational films about the social and technological innovations, revolutionary ideas and trailblazing changemakers that are leading the way to a better world. A celebration of great work happening in Australia, an exploration of the ideas, people, and technologies driving change, and an invitation for everyone to get involved in creating a better future.

Special guest Ben Gales CEO of Social Enterprise Finance Australia (SEFA) will sit on the "Finance and Investment - Finance for Social Impact panel at the Ethical Enterprise Conference.
Ben brings has been involved in the development of Social Benefit Bonds in NSW and establishing the Phoenix Fund in the UK to support small enterprises in disadvantaged communities. He also has experience of small business equity investment from his time in venture capital in Silicon Valley in the US and Cambridge in the UK. Ben worked with small to medium size organisations and he is aware of the growth challenges and opportunities. This experience equips him well for understanding the needs of emerging social enterprises.
SEFA focus is social impact, and support social entrepreneurs and community enterprises that use the power of business to drive social, cultural and environmental change.
