I wanted something I thought I could never get.
For over 25 years, I’ve wanted the iconic “Wrap” dress by Diane Von Furstenberg. It was a staple fashion piece worn by beautiful women, its popularity and liberating statement landing magazine covers in both fashion and news media. Unfortunately, no matter what my weight/size/shape, every time I tried one on, I looked at myself in the mirror and cried. I looked dumpy. This dress was not for me.
I was convinced by a friend to try again.
