Israeli solidarity activists protesting settlements in East Jerusalem
Dear ,
We have exciting news. After four years of volunteer work, IJV is hiring an organizer to take the next step in mobilizing Canadian Jews for justice in Israel, Palestine and Canada!
We are about to hire a dynamic and skilled organizer to grow our campaigns and build IJV membership and capacity--especially among youth. We know this person can help IJV further our values and win real victories.
We need your help to cover a year of salary and expenses. You can make it happen. Please renew and increase your membership dues. It's easy and convenient for you to pay in monthly installments of $10 to $50.
IJV has come a long way and made a big difference as the main pan-Canadian Jewish organization which actively supports a just and peaceful resolution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict and protects free speech.

We helped the United Church to resist Israel Lobby pressures and to approve a policy to boycott settlement products. We also are supporting other churches, unions, student, faculty and peace groups to freely discuss their concerns about Israeli policies and to take their own actions.
IJV has started a campaign to pressure the Jewish National Fund to stop collaborating with settlers, to end their destruction of Bedouin villages and rescind JNF racially discriminatory laws.
We have started a Canada-wide boycott of SodaStream, produced illegally in the West Bank Settlement of the Mishor Edomin Industrial Zone exploiting stolen Palestinian land, water, and workers.
Our eight chapters across Canada are a home for Jewish people of conscience. Together, we protested against the siege and military bombardments of Gaza.
Despite the contempt you and I have received from the Harper government, the National Post and right wing Jewish organizations such as the B'nai Brith and CIJA, we haven't compromised our integrity. IJV members and allies do not tolerate being accused of “anti-Semitism”.

I think our commitment to doing the right thing is as important to you as it is to me. We strive extra hard to make sure our message is clearly understood to be one that supports Jews and Palestinians to live with dignity and equal rights without threats of violence or punishment.
Think about it, even a monthly $10 donation will help us hire a young organizer for less than the cost of a toasted bagel 'n humus sandwich with a side pickle and a coffee!
