Community Board 2 (CB2) will hold the following three committee meetings next week, all of which are scheduled for 6:00 pm. All committee meetings of Community Board 2 begin with the approval of the agenda and introduction of the committee officers. The meetings conclude with the approval of the previous month's meeting minutes, a chairperson’s report, other business and a community forum during which the public may speak.
In addition to the items listed below, the Land Use Committee will hold a public hearing on the Flood Resilience Text Amendment (Application #N130331ZRY) drafted by the Department of City Planning.

Parks and Recreation Committee
Monday, June 17, 2013; Dining Rooms A&B, Brooklyn Hospital, 121 DeKalb Avenue at St. Felix Street, in Fort Greene
Marty Maher, Brooklyn chief of staff for the Department of Parks and Recreation, will provide an update on capital projects in Community District 2.
In addition, the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation will present the design for the outer two-thirds of Pier 6. The presentation is made for CB2 recommendation to the Public Design Commission.
Transportation and Public Committee
Tuesday, June 18, 2013; First Floor Board Room, St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street (between Clinton and Court streets), in Brooklyn Heights
Kenneth K. Fisher, Esq., a member of Cozen O'Connor, and William Kenworthey, a partner at Cooper, Robertson & Partners, will present the design of a proposed expansion of Long Island University's playing field at the southwest corner of Ashland Place and Willoughby Street. The presentation is made for CB2 recommendation to the Public Design Commission and the Department of Transportation.
It is currently anticipated that the land use applications associated with this project will be referred out by the Department of City Planning on July 8, 2013. A public hearing on the applications will be scheduled for a later date.
Isaac Esterman, a project manager with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, will present the organization's "Street Seats" application for on-street seating on Bond Street, between Livingston and Fulton Streets.

GrowNYC and the Barclays Center will present (invited, not confirmed) a proposal to operate a farmers market outside of the arena. Under the plan provided, the vendors would be located on the north side of Flatbush Avenue, between Atlantic and Pacific Street. Vendor vehicles would be parked in the lay-by lane on the north side of street.
