"Dilworth's Hot Market"

Sarah Martin of www.DilworthCharlotte.com hears the same question from sellers every week: Why is now such a great time to sell my Dilworth home?

Interest rates are still low and financial forecasters report they are likely only going to slowly and steadily rise from here (we’re on the bottom of the 10 year bell curve). I know that RIGHT NOW there is little inventory out there and buyers are motivated by interest rates.

Take a look at her inventory chart for further "proof in the pudding."

"An Ode to Staging, the Oft-Forgotten Art in Home Selling"

Cassee Cunningham had a lot to write about this week over at www.ShortWalkHome.com: interest rates, the exciting progress on her energy efficient home renovation, and a story on staging. What took the prize? Staging.

It is difficult sometimes to stress the importance of staging with a seller. I can’t stress it enough, and I sometimes actually push the issue a bit. Good staging entices the senses. It wakes up the imagination of the potential buyer. It highlights the home’s strengths and downplays the not-so-strong points. It makes the home inviting to potential buyers. I’m here to tell you it’s worth every penny, but don’t take my word for it. See it for yourself…

Cassee recently staged her listing at 3721 Oakwood Ave and snapped a few before and after photos - unstaged to staged. Stop by her Open House this Sunday from 2 - 4 and see the final product!

Need I say the backyard (and this cottage style home) are perfect for your pets! This house has a HUGE lot with beautiful landscaping and retaining walls, fenced yard and patio.

"Wessex Square: A Hidden Gem"

With its abundance of cul-de-sacs, tree-shaded streets, and fantastic schools it's no wonder that Sami MacDonald of www.InitialYourHome.com thinks Wessex Square is the perfect place to land your nest. But how's the market in Wessex Square?

So, how’s the market in Wessex Square? Affordable. Median home price is $247,000 as of July 2013. Prices have only risen about 5% in the last year, compared to the Charlotte average of 11.5%. As interest rates continue to rise, now is the time to buy. Looking for a great first home? Look no further than Wessex Square.
