The PTO President position is now available. Nominations can be accepted now up until the November meeting where a vote will be held to select the new President for our DCES PTO. If you are interested, you may submit your name to Mrs. Verna Sherling via email at vsherling@pvschools.net. This information will be forwarded to our PTO Board to include with candidate nominations.

4. Make your 2014 Tax Credit Donation!

Making a contribution to receive an Arizona public education tax credit is simple. You can get a tax credit up to $200 for an individual or $400 per married couple. Donations must be received by December 31 to receive the tax credit for current year. For additional information, call (602) 449-2049.

What is a tax credit?

A tax credit is not a tax deduction. A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the actual tax owed. For example, if you owe $900 in state income taxes and you donate $400 to a public school for extracurricular activities, you may subtract the $400 from your tax bill and pay the state just $500.

Albertsons Community Partners permanent key ring barcodes are now available at the Desert Cove Front office. Take yours to your cashier each time you shop. They will scan our school barcode and Desert Cove will earn a percentage of every grocery dollar you spend at Albertsons! To maximize our earnings, pick up additional key rings to pass on to your neighbors, friends, relatives and co-workers.

Target’s REDcard (debit or credit) will save you 5% automatically and Target will donate 1% back to Desert Cove!
