We couldn't believe our eyes
As we hinted in previous posts, Robin planned a trip to Utah in hopes to see the horses she witnessed rounded up this summer. What we found was a unwelcome sight. We had to censor the contents of the dumpster in the picture above that was located in the lower right corner of the photo of BLM's Delta, Utah facility below.
If you have a strong stomach and you want to see what we did, a short uncensored video of what we found at the facility is here.
In the full correspondence between YEA! and the BLM regarding the planned visit, you can see that no employees were available to let us in. We expected to find closed doors and locked gates...but we never expected to find what we did in front of the gates.
The front of the dumpster had a sign "No Hazardous Waste Accepted."
We can't say if they violated that rule, because we can't say for sure what we saw, although we are certain it was some kind of animal remains.
YEA members Robin Warren and Gabby Beck are overcoming the sights and smells of that day.
We WILL NOT visit any holding facilities again unless it's an adoption event and we sincerely hope to shut them all down by finding adopters for every last horse and burro! Please keep sharing the mustang exodus campaign regularly with your friends. At last count, Delta was home to 207 horses.
