DOT to Pave Streets at Night Next Week

The Department of Transportation (DOT) has planned, weather permitting, the paving of certain streets in Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Fort Greene and Fulton Ferry as per the schedule below.

Vehicles left on these streets when work is ready to be performed will be relocated, generally within three blocks. DOT encourages owners of relocated vehicles to first walk around the neighborhood. If owners are not able to locate their vehicle, they may telephone (718) 222-7285 to learn where it was towed to.

Road Markings to Change in Fulton Ferry

DOT has advised Community Board 2 that when it restores the road markings on the new pavement on Old Fulton Street, the markings will be "slightly different than what is out there now. They include changes to improve traffic flow and pedestrian and bike safety, incorporating the plan for the corridor that was presented to the Community Board in January 2012 as well as some subsequent refinements DOT is making based on observed conditions. This includes a curbside eastbound bike lane between Front and Hicks Street, and a dual left turn from WB Old Fulton onto the BQE entrance."
